    How to cutoff the water valve for the bathroom tub faucet
    I cut off the hot water valve which stop most of the water from running but I still have some water dripping. Is there a cold water valve to cutoff perhaps the rest?

    Yes, find any cold water valve working your way back. Once you've found one and turned it off tightly, if there's still a drip, tighten the nuts on both valves a little. If there is still a drip, turn off the main and replace any valves that appear to be old, have corrosion around them or are leaking. If your main won't stop the drip - call a plumber.

    Hi Martin...

    If your hot water shutoff isn't completely shutting off the water to the tub faucet then you can try shutting off the cold water flow into the hot water tank (cold water shutoff) and that should stop the hot water dripping... ;)

    If that doesn't fix the issue then you could try shutting off the main water shutoff at the water meter as suggested by Joypulv, but don't overtighten, OK.

    If that fails to work then you will need a plumber to contact the town/city water department (if on town/city water) and replace the defective shutoffs, OK?

    Maybe if you explain what all you are trying to do we could better understand your situation. Are you doing a repair on a hot faucet cartrdige or what?
