    Blower issues
I have a ruud unit model ugda075cer. About a week ago it started to make a sound, squell, when it starts to turn, 5 second. After about 5 seconds the sound stops. The blower would work. I was told the blower needed to be oiled. I read manuel did as it said. I was told I needed a 10 to 20 weight nondetergent oil. Hardware store sold me a 3-in-1 sae type oil. Noise stopped for to days. Now blower hums and moves very slowly. Did I mess it up or did it go out. Any help would be welcomed

    Thanks jp

No you did not do it with the weight of oil used. Bearing go bad in motors. Sounds like its time to buy a new motor. If you do it yourself be sure to get a new run capacitor for the motor baught.

3N1 is about 3 weight. Try with 10 or 20W and oil the cup or wick constantly for a few minutes. If that doesn't work, get a motor.
