hello, I have been experiencing chest pain, shortness of breathe, lightheadedness, innapropriate sinus tachycardia, chills/sweats, palpatations, cold hands and feet(which sometimes turn blue in areas), and when I get up from bed or the couch everything goes black and I feel dizzy it doesn't last long and afterwards I can feel my heart pumping in my head? The other day I went to hospital and they ran some tests the ecg came back OK but a little unusual the chest x-ray came back unusal to. My bp was fine and I had a small tempreture the docter was concerned as I also have an unusual breathing sound on my left lung so he sent me by ambulance to another hospital to get another opinion in the ambulance I still had a small tempreture and a fast heartrate and twice during the trip my blood pressure dropped? They did the same tests at the other hospital and said my heart was fine (good news :]) and sent me home and referred me to a lung specialist I also had pneumonia around 7 months ago what does it sound like is wrong with me? Just as an FYI Leslie, when you get a fever your heart always beats faster. That's normal.

Who told you that you had the condition called Inappropriate Sinus Tachycardia?

yes that is true but my heartrate is always high it has gotten up to 163 bpm at rest which my GP considers very high and I didn't have a fever at that time. I have brought up the question could this be an anxiety issue with docters and sepcialists and there answer was no, so I guess that's out of the picture. I had a vq scan done of my lungs the other day checking for blood clots in my lungs which came back clear but it did show that some of the lung tissue in my left lungs is damaged/scared. I was told by a rhythm heart specialist that I have innapropriate sinus tachycardia. My symptons are really starting to become a problem as it Interferes with my everyday life for e.g.. The other day I tried doing an hour at the shops and couldn't cope as I felt really lightheaded, short of breathe and dizzy I really need help so if anyone has experienced similar symptons please tell me about them. Oh and I'm really confused because I got a ecg and chest x-ray done which came back abnormal with several problems, and then the day after got the same tests re done and they came back normal what could this be? Leslie, we cannot help you. If you disagree with your doctor, seek a second opinion.

No one here knows medicine like your doctor. Any advice that is given to you from the members here who do not have a medical education could be dangerous to you.

You are talking about your heart and lungs. Do you want to leave that up to just any joe blow to give you advice?
