    Still Nervous!
So I thought I was 6weeks, but had an ultrasound this week and they say I am only 4-5weeeks. They did see a yolk sac and an embryo. I previously had discharge/spotting this week but found out on the ultrasound that I had an ovarian cyst that burst. They won't give me a due date because it is too early for measurements. I go back to the doctor in two weeks for a viability ultrasound. I am so nervous because of our miscarriage in Jan. which the baby only grew to 8weeks. Has this every happened to anyone. Need some positive thoughts:)

It is certainly understandable that you would be worried given your previous experience. However, what has been seen so far is what would be expected to be seen at this stage. In fact, often times even less is seen.

A viability ultrasound simply means that by that time they will likely see baby's heartbeat. A good deal will change by your next visit... :)

Do your best to keep occupied until you go back in. Wishing you a smooth pregnancy!

I agree with Doul, I too miscarried and its very scary the second time around, your nerves are gone, but I got an internal ultrasound when I was 7 weeks (around the same weeks as you will be next time) and I could just about see a little heartbeat, it was very reassuring but I still worried until I hit the 12 week mark and I'm happy to say I am now almost 20 weeks! :D

All the guys here helped answer my questions and it helped a lot, so we are here anytime. Try and refrain from searching the internet obsessively about any worries you have, this will leave you more anxious, I made that mistake.

But it is nice to look up a every week, I try and wait until I'm almost on my next week and then il check, so just when your about to turn 6 weeks check how the development of the baby is at 6 weeks :) its fun and interesting.

Don't worry yourself too much. I had a miscarriage in April of 2010 and then got pregnant in July of 2010 again and it was fine. I worried so much, I couldn't help it. We didn't plan that pregnancy but it was rough to lose it still. And when I found out I was pregnant again I wasn't happy I was so scared and I was just so terrified of losing that pregnancy and then in April of 2011 I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl with no birth defects/illnesses/problems & great apgar scores. It baffled me how my body couldn't handle the first pregnancy I lost at 7 almost 8 weeks and this one was awesome. She was breech so I had to have a c-section, but out of all the things I was worried about I could deal with that. I hope this helps a little. (: Good luck on your ultrasound. :D

Yes, this and the other messages have helped a ton! Thank you so much. I have been soooo sick the last week and a half that it must be a good sign. I had severe morning sickness with my first not with the second/miscarriage. Now this is just awful but I hope it is for a good reason. Thanks again:))
