    Battery discharging
    Hi, I have sunca battery attached in my emergency light , I usually charge it for 10-12 hours but it gets discharged in only 30-40 seconds , what may be the problem?

    How long have you had the battery for? Was it discharged before you charged it up ?

    Any chance the battery terminals got shorted brieflyor totally discharged for a period? Some rechargeable go dead forever if they have been allow to go totally dead

    No both the terminals are soldered to their proper place.

    If u charged the after one year then obviously it can't charged but I will suggest u to take out the battery and give it the high voltage e.g. if battery is 12v then u have to give it 20 volts this is just like a shock given to the dead person to get him alive if the battery does not work then u have to replace it and also tell me that what kind of battery u have either it is dry battery or something else if u have a dry battery then u have to charged it after every at least one month for the future

    Not that I have ever heard. You never mentioned which Sunca battery you have. Is it NiCad or what. The life of a rechargeable battery can be as little as 2 years depending on how it is used. Are you certain the battery never became 100% discharged, that can cause polarity to reverse and then you have to buy a new one.
