Could I be charged if I go talk with someone who is in probation against me?
I am a victim of a minor assault case by an old friend of mine which occurred sometime last year. He got a conditional discharge with probation order of 2 years. I want to know if we both agreed to meet each other in person (and put our past behind us), could I (the victim) be charged with a criminal offence? For example, he does something crazy like assault me again... and I call the cops.

    Hello R:

Nahhh, you can't go to jail... But, HE can. If you care about him, DON'T meet with him until he is free.

Excon is correct, you will not get into trouble, unless it is shown that this was merely a plan to "get even"

But he can go back to jail for meeting with you, unless he gets his probation officers permission first ( and I would make it in writing) since probation officers often have short memories.
