    36 weeks pregnant
    Hi,

I am 36 weeks pregnant and last night I felt a little wet so I wiped with a tissue and there was a clear see through slime (almost like snot) I no it sounds horrible but I just want to no that its OK. Is it a sigh I might go into labour soon?

    Regards
    Shelley

It could be a sign that your mucus plug is starting to loosen, but I wouldn't worry about it. At this stage, you are very close to term, so you can expect to get the odd symptom, perhaps a single contraction or more mucus-y discharge or things like that.

If you get a very big, solid looking blob of mucus/snot then it could be your plug and the start of labour. Losing the mucus plug (look it up on Google image) is one sign that labour has started.

To add to what Eileen just said, it is not uncommon to lose your mucous plug as long as a week or two before going into labor.

I can almost guarantee you that you will have this baby within the next 4 weeks! ;)

    Congratulations in advance! :D
