Bouncing a check just in itself, may not be criminal. Did you try to resubmit? What does the tenant say? Have you given them a chance to replace the check, maybe with a money order?

    Hii,
He just keeps on saying that I'll send another one but now I am doubting him? I'll wait till Monday .What is the best course of action? Can I involve police in this case?or what else would be better?

How long as this been? When did you get the original check and how long has he been promising a replacement.

Pressing charges against him opens a very larger can of worms. If he's in jail how is he going to pay?

Ok, I would tell him if You don't receive a money order for what he owes by the end of the month then you will start eviction proceedings.
