Why when I am trying to re-install my printer driver and software do I keep getting a message saying that the print spooler service is not running?

If your running XP go to Control Panel and select Administrative Tools and then Services and look in the list for your Print Spooler. Is it listed as Started? If not, right click its properties and select Automatic as the Start-up Type and then apply.
