I just bought a new weedeater brand mower mo.number 96114414.its serges kind of like skips.I can see the linkage moving back and forth whin it should be ideling?Dose anyone know what I can do to fix this? Thanks!

I am having the same problem although mine is not new . I believe the problem is related to the springs on the carburetor. Lost temper (and rust) of the springs has caused the flywheel/governor not to be able to find the power band. Thus it is surging and burning plugs up at an incredible rate. I am looking for replacements but no joy so far.
