OK lets start with the formula for the volume of a cylinder, do you know it? Pi is start for this case 3.142 is good enough
It's the same thing as your other problem, the only difference being that you are now given the height and are asked to find the volume.
I assume you know the formula for the volume of a cylinder?
The volume of metal-chunk is the same as the volume of water what is forced out by it.
The level of water have rose on 3.4 cm and it is a height of water cylinder that is forced out by chunk.
Radius of cylinder is 3.0 cm it gives the area of base of that cylinder. Area of the base is 3.14 * (3^2)/4 =... use a calculator. This area must be multiplied on the height (3.4 cm) and we receive the volume of metal.
