    My 2010 civic began spitting, sputter and idling rough.
    It will not accelerate up a hill, however, if I can get it to run 10 mph it will run o.k. When driving over 10 mph it shifts hard. Any suggestions?

    . Check for codes. Try to run the car and force it to throw a code; e.g. Crankshaft Position Sensor or Camshaft Position Sensor.

    . Check the Variable Speed Sensor (VSS).
