In the state of North Carolina, do spouse automatically share ownership of property owned before the marriage? Is there any advantages to adding said spouse to deed?
While of course it is always best to consult a local real estate attorney.
It makes it easier at the point the one spouse dies. If listed on the deed there is no need to go though probate for ownership of the home.
