1989 GMC K1500 5.7 liter TBI engine 4L60C trans

Can anyone confirm if there is a sensor to shut power to the fuel pump if oil pressure is lost. A friend om mine is positive it exists but can't tell me where it is and how it works. Any info would be appreciated.
