Engine stalls under load on John Deere lawn tractor
I have a John Deere LT133 lawn tractor with a Kohler CV13S, spec 21532 engine one it. Under load and only after warming up it wants to stall. I can prevent the stall by disengaging the blade and halting forward motion. If it does stall, it will restart immediately. I have changed the fuel filter, the air filter and the oil and oil filter. I have removed the carb and soaked it in gasoline for 30 minutes and I cleaned and regapped the spark plug. Any ideas?

Thanks for your fast response. I'll give that SeaFoam a try. I've heard of it before but have never tried it. I had also tried spraying the carb with the engine running using carburetor cleaner... to no avail.

Hey ballengerb1. I just thought I'd let you know what was wrong with the JD we discussed early in May. After removing the carb and cleaning it with SeaFoam... no change. I ran SeaFoam through the tank for an entire tank of gas... no change. Last week I was really tired of taking so long to cut the grass, so I took the covers off the engine and found 4 dead mice and one nest in the cooling fins of the engine. After removing them and reassembling... It runs like it's old self. They hadn't chewed anything, I think that nest just was causing the engine to run too hot. Thanks for you help though.
