I am adding a second 100amp circuit panel box for an in-law apartment is 2-2-2 wire the right size since I have a ranch house and the wire will be around 100 feet long and running in the attic which is hot.

Where do you live? In the USA this requires a permit and a licensed electrician. TK and several others can give further details when they stop by but try to answer my question in the meantime
