How can I talk to a guy I really like, But get shy anytime he's around me?

I have knows this guy a whole year already, But didn't have the nerve to speak to him because anytime I'm around him my stomach begins to feel weird. Last time I told myself I was at least going to say hi but when I did it my face turned all red and I began to talk quick. I don't know what to say to him if I knew him since a long time already, I know his name etc. I know he knows I like him because anytime I'm around him he stares at me and looks at me funny. He even asked my friend why I always blush when he stares at me. How can I start a conversation with him. Please help! =)

You're going to have to bite the bullet and try talking to him-'Hi,how are you doing'?

Or you'll never know...

Say hi, and let him do the talking. He is probably more scared of you than you are of him.
