Hi! I really need tips on starting a convosation with a guy. Im normally berry friendly an out going but I have the hardest time talking to guys (I don't have to like them or anything and I still can't) I never had trouble till latley when every guy I know likes my little sister even though she can be a little mean to them just because she pretty. Now I'm afraid to talk to a guy (well around my age) I'm not like ugly or really big. I mean I could lose weight but I'm not obese or anything like that. I need tips on how to be brave and do it.

Most guys, especially the ones around your age, like to talk and even brag a little. They like to show off and one-up other guys.

You really don't have to talk much. Start with a basic question like, "What did you think of that history test?" or "What's your most favorite dessert?" -- something pretty easy and a question that won't get just a "yes" or "no" answer. (That kind of question immediately kills a conversation.)d

Listen to his answer and then, when he comes to a stop, prompt him with another question. (That's why you have to be listening, so you know what question to ask.)

YOU: How did you like that history test yesterday?
HIM: I thought it was really hard. I almost didn't finish it.
YOU: There were 'way too many questions.
HIM: Yeah. Miss Beasley must have stayed up all night thinking of things to put on it.
YOU: I hope I didn't fail. I need at least a C.
