Quit claim question regarding contract for deed
Seller is requiring me to sign a quite claim deed property is Indiana (they said it will release me from liability) back to them? Is the legal? As a note, nothing has been recorded regarding this contract for deed

    Hello k:

What it does, is gives them the ability to claim ownership of the house WITHOUT taking you to court if you default on your agreement.. I wouldn't sign it.

In fact, upon further consideration, it allows them to take ownership of your house even if you DON'T default... Don't sign it.
