New lighting fixture; Bulb burning dim...
I just installed a new ceiling fan/light fixture. The instructions say maximum bulb to be used is candellabra-style 60W. I've tried 40W and 60W. Both seem to be far too dim for their respective wattages. What could be going wrong. FYI: the fan works perfect at all 3 speeds.
Thanks.

The wall switch does not have a dimmer function, but the remote for the fan/light does.

I installed the fan/light using the existing wiring for a standard ceiling mount light, so there is a wall switch. The fan/light also came with a remote that has a dimmer function. The dimmer function works, but it goes from dim to really dim. As for the wiring, black and white into remote receiver then black, white and blue from receiver into fan/light. FYI: I've used these bulbs in floor lamps and you can't look at the bulb as it's so bright whereas with this fan/light the bulb is a dull orange. Appreciate the help.

I figured it out. The installation was done correctly. It was an operator error. Apparently, you need to hold onto the dimmer button to increase brightness and click it to dim it. Thanks anyway for the help.
