I'm installing a new panel and they about 6 wires need to be extended. Can I place them in a junction box and do all the wires need to be bonded together inside the junction box before travelling to the braker panel?"

Junction boxes can be used to extend wires that are too short. Be sure that the wires are securely clamped in place ( both in and out) and use the appropriate sized wire nuts to join each wire. If in doubt call for an electrician to do it.

As explained, wires can be spliced in a junction box and extended.

All connections need to be made within the junction box.
