I'm 18 years old and I've been on the pill for around a month & a half and a month of that I have had spotting and dark discharge :/ almost everyday.. I also get really bad stomach pains, I have endimetriosis in my family but I'm not sure if that could relate to any of this.. it was also my first time having sex around the time this started. It is really starting to annoy me, I went to the nurse at the dr surgery about 2 weeks after this started happening and she pretty much rushed me out saying it was normal because of all the hormones and didn't really care that I was worried about it. Can anyone give me any advice? I'm sick of having it :/

Also, I haven't taken any of the placebo pills yet because I was on anti biotics and was advised to skip them.

For some women this is very common as your body is getting used to the synthetic hormones in birth control pills.

Did you know that certain antibiotics render the BCP inactive? Some antibiotics trick the BCP into not working at all, so that dramatically increases your risk of pregnancy. Whenever taking antib's you need to use a second or third form of protection.

You may want to ring your doctor about your concerns. It is possible that this pill is not for you and he/she may need to change your prescription.

Thank you :) yes I know the antibiotics affect the pill, we use condoms as well because I'm so scared of getting pregnant. The doctors I go to don't seem to care.. but I am making an appointment next week.
