04 F250 superduty 4wd need to remove and replace the rear pinion seal. Thanks

In 1 post you say rear main and in the other rear pinion. Are we talking 2 separate jobs?? You don't tell us what engine you have. Some engines have a split main and you can access that by dropping the oil pan, pulling the reap main cap and installing the 2 piece seal. In other engines you have a 1 piece seal and you need to remove the transmission, flywheel or torque converter, possibly the bell housing. If you are talking about a rear pinion seal, drop the driveshaft, remove the yoke on the differential and replace the seal. Pinion seal is a lot easier but you will need a large socket for the pinion nut. Pinion seal must be installed the right way or it will leak.
