I would like to know how to download music onto my blackberry curve 8520, without putting virus' on my laptop?

Try using the Blsckberry desktop software. Here is the link http://us.blackberry.com/apps-software/desktop/

You can torrent anything and then just pass it over to your blackberry through your USB port cable that connect to the blackberry. Or, you can also email it to yourself and open it on the blackberry. I think you can even send it as a MMS.
