    Is this physics question right?
    1. 2.6 * 10^5 J of heat were added to 1.1 kg of ice initially at -50 Celsius. Find the amount of ice, if any, that remains.

    = .3 kg

    It looks like you did the "heat of fusion" part correctly, but you forgot to account for the amount of heat it took to get the ice from its initial temperature of -50C up to the melting point of 0C. That would have required



    That only leaves 3x10^4 J left to melt the ice.

    Now can you calculate how much ice is left?
