Did we really summon a demon?
Hi I'm wondering is it true that if some people are standing in a ring thinking about a dead person is it true that it will come a ghost or a demon??
Because me and 3 other friend's we were standing in a ring but one of us were just watching and when we start thinking about a dead person that was kind suddenly the one that was just watching wasent able to breath.

Puppygirl, no that isn't possible. The person that could not breath was probably too scared to do anything else from all of your reactions. I could imagine there was a lot of OH MY GOD, WHAT WAS THAT DID YOU SEE?

No, it takes a lot more then thinking about a dead person to see a demon or a ghost.

Understand this about the spirit world... these beings are not EVERYwhere and they do have a unique will just as humans do. You cannot control them and they don't have to listen to you. Just because someone stood in a ring doesn't mean a demon is forced to pop up out of nowhere. Doing a stupid little "ritual" like this is not a binding agreement to summon up spirits... however, being in the right place at the right time, just might invite something in because they will use your ignorance and willingness to "dabble" in these occult practices. This sort of practice is forbidden by God and on those grounds alone it leaves legal ground for a spirit TO enter into the situation.

Does any of that make sense?

The bible warns about this in specific terms. Talking and consulting with the dead, or talking to demons are not to be done.

So if one crosses those lines, it can only bring bad results.

Maybe just make sure you don't play around with that kind of stuff anymore. OK?

Please don't disrespect the expert of this board. If you look at the bottom of the paranormal page you will see Tickle IS the expert for this section. Try to pay attention.

    Thanks.

Thanks, cal, but as you see, it doesn't make any difference to mr. haunting. That's okay with me. It doesn't look good to the OP to be afronted with confrontations between members.

Yes, I have knowledge of the occult, but what would be the point of displaying it here in front of a very impressionable young person.

Martinizing and I are in agreement on some issues, and I find him very knowledgeable and open minded regarding occult matters. I only point this out because Martinizing is another member interested in the paranormal.

Thanks tick I appreciate that especially from you.

HH does know the biblical teachings , and believes them with unquestioned fervor and is trying to do what he honestly believes is the best and only way to go about things.
Some subtlety and tact would help tremendously in my opinion, but I think his heart is in the right place.

Oh, I don't doubt for a minute his heart is in the right place; his fervour could use a tweek, especially around young people, but he has knowledge that I respect, no issue there. We just have to be on the same page answering posts from young ones to make sure they stay on the right track.

And don't think I don't put their young minds into consideration. There have been quite a few people that have posted on here that I believe simply need to turn off 'Ghost Hunters'. I do apologize, however, that I have trouble beating around the bush. I like to get right down to it and I know that can be a bit much for some people all at once.

Is there something wrong with a scientific approach ?

A lot of people posting here need to turn off the TV and think , which is what I try to steer them into.

But some are truly fearful already and a hell fire and brimstone all out assault makes them feel justified in being scared and can possibly send them over the edge .

A gentle tactful approach is not beating around the bush , it is a way to prepare and inform without the fear and trepidation.
It also makes them feel empowered when they felt powerless to help themselves at all.

Califdadof3, science in what manner? If you're talking science to explain paranormal events as opposed to spiritual/religious ones... I do not believe that is the reality of things NOR is it the capability of science. If you're talking about using science simply to verify these things... then sure, it's all good but not a means to and end. In a truly paranormal situation, science does not solve the problem.

Martinizine2, point taken, and I do try with every post to not just jump right into that "assault" description. Haha, I know I can still do better with it... but it is something I am very passionate about and it gets hard to hold back sometimes. Believe me, I am conscious about it and try to ease up.
