Why is my frigidaire stackable taking too long to dry?
I just replace my motor by a technician on my frigidaire stackable and my drier is still making a skiuki sound and it takes 3-4 hrs to dry. When the service man came I watch him open the dryer and it has a lot of lint every where the motor was stuck he was un able to move it and also the fan he said he was hoping that was the problem the excess of link. Well he determine it was the motor since I had told him over the phone that the dryer wasn't staring at all and had a burn smell.

After replacing the motor he started the dryer and it heat right away but it was still making a drummery sound he said is because we need to replace the drum roller I think that's what he said and wanted to charge another $130 plus labor $60 pr hr so I said no. When I put the first load in the dryer it took a good 2-3 hrs to dry for a small amount I call the technician the next day since was very late and explain that wasn't drying he reply by text and said will call that was busy he never gave me an invoice, he said will email it to me. Now he call me back and said that he had my part for my dryer not sure what part ut is and how much since I called him and got his vice mail.

I don't want to pay him anymore I alert spend about $250, I rather have my husband do it.

    Zebrame...

I don't know who appleguy is, but the first place I would check here is the DRYER VENT... could be clogged up which would create the delay in drying time.

Here, pretty simple to disconnect the dryer vent and clean the entire length of the dryer vent to the outside. You'll also want to clean the interior duct work with a vacuum/flexible hose.

Reattach all and see if that improves drying time... it should!

Let us know how you make out, OK?
