    Judgement against the Co-borrower
My husband has a pending judgement against him in Charles county, md for the balance of a voluntary repossession of his vehicle. The balance was 7k now with interest and penalties and court cost it is 15k. We have a house and I am the primary owner and he is the co owner. When they place this judgment against him will it go on the house and against me as well.

As long as you were not signed on the car loan they can't go after you. It is also rare that they could file a lien against a primary residence.

He must defend against the action for judgment and work out a way to pay them.

If the obtain a judgment, they can garnish his wages in Maryland Up to 25% of disposal income.

How will that effect your budget for the home? You must think about you actions regard the possible judgment.
