Does the father still pay childsupport even though we just found out he's not the dad
My husband had a paternity text done after 6 years. We've been been separated since I was pregnant with our second child. His name is on the birth certificate and he's paying child support. He refuses to sign the divorce papers after 3 years. We just found out the our second child isn't his. Does he still have to pay child support?

Any question on law needs to include your general locale as laws vary by area.

In all US states, if you were married when the child was born, then he is the legal father. His ability to challenge that will depend on local laws. It is possible he may get out of supporting the child.

He will have to pay until he files in court to have the current court order over turned.

Where you live will decide what he can or can't do.

Was the DNA test done though the courts with an approved court testing lab
