I feel that distance learning is as good as class attendance. I have done both and enjoy the flexibility of asynchronous classes where I don't have a particular schedule to be online or in a classroom. This helps if I go out of town since all I need is my laptop. I hope this helps.

I think it depends on the subject. I have successfully taken multiple classes online and never had a problem, but I did have one math class that gave me trouble, mainly because it lacked that one on one contact with the instructer. You don't always get the point when dealing through emails.:)
