My Wife took the depo shot once and stopped, we're now trying to get pregnant
My wife was on the pill for a year and then chose to get a depo shot because she would forget to take her BC on time. She only took the shot once, we're now trying to get pregnant. She took the shot about 6 months ago. So it's been almost 3 months since she should have received her next shot and she still hasn't got her period. Is this normal? What can we do? Thanks for your help.

It can take upwards of TWO years before becoming pregnant after using birth control so quite stressing as that will not help the process.

Enjoy each other and nature will take it's own course.

Of all the birth control methods I've tried, the depo shot threw my cycle off the most. It took me almost a year to get a normal cycle back after the shot. Also, your wife was on other birth control prior to that.

Don't stress out, she will become regular again. If it's really worrying her, she can see her doctor again for an exam. Otherwise, she can bring it up during her regular annual.

Good luck getting pregnant! Enjoy your time!

I was on the Depo shot and yes it's normal, not to mention you may have issues getting pregnant because she was on birth control for so long. It may take awhile for her cycles to regulate in order for her to become pregnant. She may spot one month and then get an actual period the next. I didn't have a period for awhile after getting off BC. Course I was on it for 5 years the shot for 1 1/2 years.
