My French husband and I(American Citizen) were married in France, and are now looking for a divorce in The United States... After signing the French Marriage Contract, I am concerned that with the sale of our house, we may have a debt, but the only name on the house is in my husband's name! I am not on the paper work of the house at all. Does the French Marriage Contract state that I will be liable for the debt even without my name on the house?

Shauna, french law is quite different from US or Canadian. I have never read a french marriage contract, so I think you had better contact an attorney to find out your rights under french law.
