I think that there is nothing after death.
Please give your own thought.
Hello X:
I'm going to be cremated, and my son is going to snort my ashes. Then I'll be resurected in my son's bodily fluids. All my dead relatives are there.

Nothing. You die, you return your chemicals to the earth.
I plan to be baking fudgy brownies and other yummy desserts in the celestial kitchen (after I finish cataloging that day's cart of books for the celestial library).
I don't believe in an afterlife.
It's a nice thought, but that's it, it makes people more comfortable with the fact that they will eventually die. It makes their lives feel more meaningful if they believe that what they do in this life, impacts the next.
I live in the moment, I want to be happy right now, not because it will make me happy after I die.
I'm good with the now, if there was an afterlife... I would want to know about it, otherwise it would be just like this life:)
So like Shaz had said live in the 'now'
That's all us mortals really know.
I am with exxy. My son will have me cremated as I have asked him too and he will scatter my ashes at a particular lovely beach on Lake Ontario where I spent many happy times when I was younger. Anyway, its cheaper. I don't see me saddling anyone with about $20,000 for a full scale burial.
No, it isn't about money. Cremation has always been on my mind as a way of not taking up too much space on this earth, in this earth.
However, as I go on with this topic. Our town has a 'green burial site' whereby one is buried in a shroud, in a wooden box and the body is not embalmed. Not an option for me however.
As to the original question. I like to think there will be a way of seeing loved ones, and pets, who have passed on to an afterlife. It is a nice thought

I will be with my Lord and God in the afterlife, care less what happens to my body, but to save cost I have asked for cremation.
Yes, after reading exxy's answer I am sure we will all meet in the great AMHD in the sky. Then we can answer the questions about ghost, demons and the afterlife from first hand knowledge.

I have problems with AOL all the time. Wonder if they have better coverage in the great beyond? Or should I go with another network?
I want to believe that there's a heaven, or some sort of place that we can be with loved ones again. That would mean that I get to be with my parents once more, and then of course all the family that will go after I do.
It's a nice concept, but I'm not sure I buy it.
I'm an organ donor, so once I die they'll collect what they need (all except my eyes. I've asked that my eyes stay with me) and then I'll be cremated.
I would like my family to keep my ashes with them, or spread them somewhere they agree on. I have my parents ashes with me in my home. If my kids decide they'd like to keep my ashes, I'd be okay with that. They can split them and each get half. ;)
I hope there's an afterlife.
And I hope it's like a giant university where we all study the history of the universe and God, et al.
I also hope my late pets will be there.
I don't think there is an afterlife, once you die, that is it, there isn't anything left of you that will carry on, no soul or spirit, that as death implies, you just stop being :)
My mom. When I first told her that I wanted to be an organ donor she flipped out. She's big on being buried with all the parts you originally had.
We discussed it for a very long time. She finally agreed, but made me promise that I wouldn't let them take my eyes. She never really gave a reason. I agreed mainly because eyes aren't something you need to live. So, only the organs that are necessary to sustain life are on my organ donor card. :)
