How to make dark hair dye fade?
So I've coloured my hair numerous times in dark colours varying from black to the most recent colour of dark auburn, and there's a load of build up from 2.5 inches away from my roots to my tips. My hair's a million different colours because of the biuld up; mousey brown from my roots, then blonde from pre-lightening previous new growth, then a light auburn, then the rest is a dark auburn. IT'S SHOCKING

So, does anyone know how I can make the darker dye (or all of it) fade relativley fast, so I can dye it properly and give it an even colour?

I would not attempt this yourself. Obviously if you lighten or darken your hair you are going to continue to have various colors/shades. Dye also will "take" at different levels depending on how damaged your hair is.

If you strip the darker dye you will also strip the lighter dye.

You need a hairdresser to straighten this out.
