    Help making a thesis statement
I was wondering if anyone could help me develop a thesis statement on wiretapping and spying. I have to apply it to ethics issues in my paper.

    1) Are you for or against? -- do you want to condemn them or justify them?

    2) How long does the paper have to be?

    3) Are you familiar with what goes on during wiretapping and spying, especially regarding specific ethics situations?

    1. I am for them as long as they have probable cause and a set of restric guide lines
    2.4-5 pages
    3. Im researching cases right now and then applying them to ethical issues. Its for my ethics class

This will probably sound mean and unhelpful to you, but the best way to develop a thesis statement is to do the research and put together an outline as your pathway to writing the paper. Once you know where you're going, the thesis statement will be easy to write.

    Do you mean this? --

When following a strict set of guidelines, wiretapping can be a legal and legitimate act for law enforcement.

    What about this?

Recent technological advances have a huge impact on ethics and on the intrusion into individual privacy, in that people can be searched and their actions can be observed, recorded, and traced.
