If you are in Italy those adapters are passive and it should work. In fact all of the adapters I've seen in Europe are the passive type.

Are you sure the circuit you plan to use this on is sufficient for that amount of power? Particularly if you live in an older apartment.

    Okay, help me, please.

    Are you in the U.S.A.

Residential homes here in the U.S.A. normally operate off a 120/240 VAC system three wire system.

208 VAC is not a compatible level within 120/240.

You would need to switch your system to a "High Leg" system such as a 120/208 system.

I'll see if I can find the product on the web and try to understand what's going on but regardless a 208v product will not work properly on a 240v system.

Well, I found the Adcraft 30" Griddle on-line. However, no electrical specifications were given.

You should have received installation instructions with the unit. Normally, that is where the electrical requirements are listed.

It appears, at least at this point that the unit can use either 208 or 240 VAC. What I do not know at this point is whether the power supply is switch selectable between the two supplies.

    Briney,

Sorry for the delay but Adcraft finally answered my question.

    Your 30" griddle needs a 208-240V, 3380-4500W and 18.8 Amp power source and uses a NEMA 6-20 PLUG for a 208V,240V/15amp supply.
