How do I know if I should ask for alimony in a divorce?
My husband does not make much working full time - $31K. Last year I made 15K, working part time, and also take care of our baby and toddler. He now wants a divorce. I know he will make more in the future. Is it worth it to ask for alimony? This year I will make as much as him, if not more.

You always "ask for it" if you get it will depend on state rules ( if in the US) and many other factors, from earnings before marriage, and need.

Your attorney in the divorce should be setting up correct child support and alimony if it is proper

In some States you cannot waive spousal support (alimony). What does your Attorney say?
