My roommate and I were arrested while in university, I was alleged to be purchasing alcohol for him I was 23 and he was under 21. We went before the judge who gave us some hours of community service. I vaguely remember him saying it would not give us a record but don't remember clearly it happened about 10 years ago. Will this give me a criminal record?

There is no way to know. Go to the local Police Station and ask them to run your name.

It depends on what the judge said, if he did this as a first offender program, then after you did community service all charges are dropped, the judge here in Fulton County GA does that all the time,

But if it did not do this, yes you would have a record.

So go down to the police or sheriff office and get a record ran and see if there is anything on it
