Hi my name is lotfi I am an exchange visitor [j1 internship] when I came to usa the officer in port entry gave me a I-515A form because I forgot my ds 2019 form in my country.afetr that I sent my original I-515a and I-94 and ds 2019 to the us department of homeland security but the problem is I sent my documents after the 30 days grace date and my I-94 was expired because I don't know how the laws in amerika work .
So I sent a mail to DHS to explain my situation they told me that they sent my documents to my sponsor who signed my ds 2019. My question is what does it mean if they sent my documents to my sponsor and what can I do ?
