Is there a way to tell when a sent email has been read by the recipient?
If you have an account on Excite.com, is there a way to see if a mail recipient has read a message you've sent to them? I can't seem to find anything about that in the "Excite Help" section.

You can request a 'read receipt' in Outlook Express and also a 'delivery notice' from Outlook. (the former asks the recipient to respond to say he's got it and the latter automatically tells you its arrived). If you need more info about these, let me know! :)

Delivery reports and read receipts are only good to a point and can NOT be relied upon.
These options are freely available when using a client/server set up, but NOT on web mail, in general.

So to answer your question, NOPE.

There are services like readnotify.com that will provide such info, but they are fee based. So you won't know that Brenda is not reading your mails. ;)

OK, I'm going to let that one slide, cause I deserved it, but I really want you all to get off my back.
