This JVM6020 GE Spacemaker Microwave oven is mounted under the cabinet above the stove. I want to remove it, but it's in there so snug, and I want to know if it is hard wired.

Hard to say. Many newer installs use a plug with an outlet mounted in the cabinet above the MW. If you don't see a plug there, it's most likely hard wired. As far as mounting, feel above the MW in the upper cabinet for a recessed screw to drop the unit. Some others, in addition to hanging, also screw to the mounting rack by a long screw through the front grill. Be careful, this is a 2 person disconnect. Remove the burner grills and put a piece of plywood over the burners in case you have to let it go.
