My printer isn't printing the black ink.
It's a mfc 240c. I have just replaced all cartridges with brand new ink. The black does not work. I only use this printer once in a while, so it has only been used 4-5 times in the last year. :(

    Scleros

Inkjet printers need to be used regularly to avoid the ink drying out and clogging the print head/nozzles. It may be possible to revive it with repeated cleaning cycles. Routine maintenance is covered in the appendices of the User Manual. For intermittent use, laser based printers are less hassle.

A laser printer is the best way to go. Inkjet printers dry up, get dirty and costs tons of money.

    Just my 2 cents

You need to clean out the print head before you install your Canon mfc 240c ink cartridge. The ink must be dry up in the printer print head.
