I don't know if I've heard the phrase "fall pregnant" before. In my area it's "get pregnant."

I don't know if this is the case for the OP, but that wording is common in the UK... :)

KJACKO: If you happen to ovulate early in your cycle, then yes, having sex during your period may result in a pregnancy. You can only become pregnant if you have sex near the time of ovulation, but that can vary a bit from person to person, and may be off now and then for each individual. For this reason, no time is 100% safe from pregnancy, only that it may be more or less likely to occur.
