I was caught stealing a 20$ watch from JCP the other day. My court case is less than a month and I want to know what my punishment will be. I planned on going to a division 1 college and playing soccer there.. I need to know if this is still possible and whether this crime will be put on my record. Thanks for your help

Unless you get it into a diversion program where it will be taken off after you finish probation , yes it will be on your record ( criminal history) and yes it could effect private scholarship or even being admitted to some schools, if there are 100 kids applying for one opening, and there are 50 openings, the ones with some issues will be passed over for kids that have no background issue
