Why does my TV tell me 'no signal' when I hook my Acer Aspire notebook via VGA cable?
I bought a Dynex television and a VGA cable so I could hook my Acer Aspire notebook to the television. I then proceeded to watch a netflix via the internet on my TV via my laptop. Everything goes fine and we begin watching the movie, then all of the sudden the TV screen goes blank and says 'no signal'. I play around with my laptop... not exactly sure what to do to fix it... then the movie screen will show up on my TV again and we can watch... for awhile. Then... same thing... 'no signal'. It probably did this 10 or more times during 1 movie. What do I need to do to fix this?

Check the power settings on your laptop to make sure it doesn't put the display to sleep after a bit. It could be that is what is happening and when you aren't touching the keyboard or moving the mouse, it goes to sleep.
