    Stealing
    In 2001 a police came to my emplyer house for questioning and of stealing $40 but no evidence.the polce told me that they will help me if I answer their question.No press charges being laid just a hand written report by plice.what bother me most my entire life when I asked to get a criminal record check they write in the comments that I have a record of theft?How can I clear my name in rcmp system?please help.

    If you were "just" questioned you have NO criminal record. The RCMP's notes were just that - notes as part of an investigation.

    I don't understand why the questioning is part of your criminal record UNLESS you, in fact, were charged.

    You may need an Attorney to get this resolved.

    Yes, notes of officers is not part of any criminal history ( unless you are applying for a police position.

    But your computer record will only show where you were convicted or at least charged officially.

    If you were just questioned, there is no criminal history on this
