Honestly just relax. He will let you know when he is ready. It is myth that bottles deform your mouth. The biggest concern is to make sure he does not sleep with a bottle as that can rot his teeth. But at 15 months, he still has time to get rid of it. Take a break from trying sippys and try again in a few months.

Many children have to stop drinking from a bottle due to ear infections. I don't know if this is the case with your son or not.

You can make an adventure out of it! Almost like Christmas! Buy several sippy cups and place them around the house and make it like a scavenger hunt. For each cup he finds, he throws one bottle away. Let him do the throwing away as it makes it seem like his idea.

I did this with 2 of my kids and it worked splendidly.

Or maybe I was a "bad" parent, you just take it away, and they drink from the cup, if they cry and you give in to them, they have you trained for this and a 100 other things in the future

Your not a bad parent chuck. Many parents do that. It didn't work for ayla, but it works for other kids.

I feel I was a bad parent cause I let her decide when to give it up and it wasn't until she was 3 years old (still having a night time morning and noon bottle) that I had to just get rid of them. And its harder when you wait that long than if you just do it at 1 or 2.
