Hello!
I would like to know if I need to brake my rental lease in the current apartment community, what are my options?
Recently my apartment complex changed ownership. Does this fact allows me to alter or change anything in my original lease?

In the original lease I declined the "early lease termination addendum" where it states I am only responsible for $525.00 if I do brake the lease.

I might have to brake the lease because I am buying an apartment in the very near future and my lease ends in October of 2007.

NO - change of management or ownership does not negate your lease.

As noted, change of ownership doesn't allow you to BREAK your lease. You do have some options though. Does your lease permit sublets? That's one possibility. You can also talk to the landlords and offer to find a replacement tenant. Also, depending on the marketability of the units, then may be willing to let you out. But they can require that you be responsible for each month that the apt remains vacate until Oct '07.
