    Should I file a 1040NR or 1040NR-EZ?
My question is the following. I am here on a student F1 visa. I was working at my college for 5 months out of the year and then I worked for 5 months on OPT as an independent contractor. I have both a W-2 and a 1099 MISC. And I lived in one state for most of that year and another for the other part. My question is do I use the 1040NR or the 1040NR-EZ?

The Form 1099-MISC requires submission of a Schedule C.

The Schedule C dictates that you file Form 1040NR, along with Form 8843.

You also will need to file a state tax return for each state in which you worked and lived.

If you need professional help filing your return, email me at [email protected] or [email protected].
