    Getting my old cat?
Ex and I had a cat together in our home for 2 years and we split up and she took the cat. Wells its been seven months since I have seen my 3yr old calico persian. Ex told me to take the cat because she doesn't spend enough time with it. I'm moving into a new house in a month and going to get the cat at take it there... is the cat going to be scared of the new place or freaked out of me, is it going to remember me and still be affectionate... how can I make her happy?

I thought cat nip makes your cat get all crazy and run around..

When you get the cat, I would start my having everything she needs in one room of the house (litter box, bed, food, etc.) Keeping the door shut at all times. As you come in and out of the room to spend time with her she will grow more curious and eventually want out to the rest of the house to explore. This also gets your cat used to being around you, so when let out into the rest of the house, she shouldn't hide. When you go to spend time with her, brush her, and play with her, make sure she knows when you feed her. She shouldn't be too scared of you. Cats are smart, she will most likely remember your scent and how you make her feel. :-)
